Who this is about

Mat Luc Group prints and ships physical products on behalf of independent online shops. This page describes what we do with the information those shops share with us, and with the information about their buyers that reaches us as part of fulfilling an order.

What we receive from a connected shop

When a shop owner connects their Etsy shop to us, we receive, for orders placed with that shop: the order and its line items, the products and quantities ordered, and the shipping address the buyer entered.

We ask for nothing else. We do not request buyer email addresses, listing management, payment information, or access to Etsy messages, and we cannot see them.

Why we need it

The products and quantities tell our production team what to print. The shipping address is what a shipping label is made from. Once a parcel leaves us we send the tracking number back to the order so the buyer is notified.

We also use the order totals of shops billed as a share of sales to calculate what that shop owes us each month.

Artwork

Shops and their designers upload print-ready artwork to us. We store it so it can be printed, reprinted if something goes wrong, and traced back to the month it was billed in. Artwork belongs to the shop that sent it; we do not use it for anything but printing that shop’s work.

Where it is kept, and who can see it

Order information is held in an access-controlled database encrypted in transit and at rest. Artwork is held in private cloud storage that is not publicly readable.

Only our own staff can sign in, each with an individual account whose role limits what it can reach. A shop owner sees their own shop and no other. A designer sees the work they uploaded. Our print team sees what it has to print and never sees prices.

What we never do

We do not sell information about shops or their buyers, share it with anyone for advertising, or use a buyer’s address for anything other than delivering the order it came with. We do not contact buyers.

How long we keep it

We keep order information for as long as we need it to produce the work and to keep an accurate billing record, since a shop may query an invoice months later. A shop can ask us to delete its data and we will, except where we are required to keep a financial record.

Disconnecting

A shop owner can disconnect us from their Etsy account at any time, from Etsy, without asking us first. We stop receiving new orders immediately. We never ask for or hold anyone’s Etsy password.
